We hear language bandied about that “authenticity” is the primary value of this age. But once it’s defined—as “putting oneself first”—the implications are staggering. Mothers leaving their families to “find themselves,” spouses seeking open marriages, and confused kids requesting medications and even life-altering surgery to change their sex.
Biblically, authenticity is entirely different. It’s becoming who God made you in Christ, and it looks like His design. As author and speaker Alisa Childers describes, it’s a life of using your gifts and time to sacrifice, not only “putting up with the failings of others” but “seeking their good.” Ryan Bomberger of The Radiance Foundation agrees. He’s applied his voice and creative skills to advocate for moms choosing pro-life—like his biological mom did—and producing children’s books that promote their bodies as male or female.
Alisa will share with us what true authenticity is in Christ, and Ryan will demonstrate how God has given us each gifts to express that authenticity sacrificially.

Alisa Childers is the author of Another Gospel? A book in which she describes the years-long journey she took as she wrestled with questions that struck at the core of the Christian faith and found the truth. Her new book is called Live Your Truth, and Other Lies: Exposing Popular Deceptions that make us Anxious, Exhausted, and Self Obsessed, in which she examines modern lies that aredisguisedastruthintoday’sculture. She is a wife, mom, author, podcaster, blogger, and speaker. She was a member of the award-winning CCM recording group ZOEgirl. She is currently a respected speaker at apologetics and Christian worldview conferences, as well as the host of her popular YouTube channel. Ryan Bomberger is an Emmy® Award-winning creative professional, international public speaker, columnist, factivist, and author of the powerful book, Not Equal: Civil Rights Gone Wrong. He is also the co-founder of RadianceFoundation.org, a life-affirming organization that illuminates that every human life has purpose. Ryan has a rather unique perspective of the innate nature of purpose. He is one of ten children who were adopted and loved in a diverse family of fifteen. Today, as an adoptee and adoptive father, he is passionate about addressing culture-shifting issues from a fact-based, hope-filled, Biblically-sound perspective.
